Excludes Medical Kidney

I own several books from this series because they are excellent and they have become my go to reference while on surgicals. I was disappointed to discover that this book completely ignores medical kidney. Other books in this series like The Biopsy Interpretation of the Lung or of the Liver include neoplastic and non-neoplastic; I expected this one to as well. For Biopsy Interpretation of the GI Tract, they specific 'neoplastic' and non-neoplastic, I think they should have done so with the kidney book as well.

Another great addition the the "Biopsy Interpretation" series

Another great addition to the "Biopsy Interpretation" series. I am a senior level resident with an interest in GU pathology and was happy to add this book to my personal library. Well organized chapters which emphasize clinically useful information, particularly helpful to trainees who don't know what details are most significant to include in reports. Will be a valuable resource in the coming years with the increasing use of kidney biopsies performed to rule out neoplasia that we are beginning to see in my training program. As with all books I have read in this series, an abundance of high quality photos to emphasize/illustrate teaching points outlined in the text.

In reference to lack of medical renal, yes this book does not cover that topic. However, this is no different than most other pathology textbooks on the topic (neoplastic vs. non-neoplastic kidney usually are not covered in detail together). There are many other books on medical renal, and perhaps that would be a great addition to this series as a separate book, however in my opinion it would be too much material to cover those two areas together in one text.

Bottom line, this book addresses a deficit in the literature regarding needle biopsy of the kidney and adrenal gland for neoplasia/lesions seen on imaging. This is a technique that is picking up speed, and has not yet been covered in detail in other resources that I am aware of.

Well organized book!

This is an excellent resource for both renal and adrenal biopsy specimens. As with the other books in this series, the content is useful for both biopsy and resections. The book is very readable and has abundant pictures. The immunohistochemistry chapter is especially helpful with its numerous summary tables. As a prior reviewer noted, this text does not cover medical kidney. Overall, a great addition to the biopsy interpretation series.

This is a very resourceful book. It is full of important information that every employer should be aware of. A Beautiful, Spiritually Inspiring Guide for Future Parents

As a married women of 29, who wants the best for my future children, I bought this book wanting to know how to facilitate a relationship with my child's soul. This book answered many questions, and explained how to use spiritual energy and "The Violet Fire" for the good of the child's soul and physical wellbeing. This book has prayers to help you all along the way- from before conception to after birth. The initial chapters dealt with karma, reincarnation, and the mission of your child's soul. I also ejoyed the chapter about how to convey beauty and virtue through music and art. This book also explains the importance of loving communication with your unborn child, and meditation. I highly recomend this book to anyone wanting to know more about the souls who will become their children- and how to do what is spiritually, emotionaly, physically, and mentally loving of them before they are born.

There are many good books on prenatal care and even education in the womb. What we liked about this book was that it focuses on the spiritual aspects of preparing your new baby for the world he or she will enter. The meditations and visualizations will help you to create a deep, spiritual bond between you and your baby.

About the Author
Emma Azalia Smith Hackley was an African American singer and Denver political activist born in Murfreesboro, Tennessee in 1867. Her parents, business owners Henry and Corilla Smith, moved to Detroit where she attended Washington Normal School, graduating in 1886. Smith, a child prodigy learned to play the piano at three and later took private voice, violin and French lessons. Emma Smith worked as an elementary school teacher for eighteen years. During that period she met and married Edwin Henry Hackley a Denver attorney and editor of the city’s black newspaper, the Denver Statesman. In 1900 Hackley received her music degree from Denver University. In 1905-1906 she studied voice in Paris with former Metropolitan Opera star Jean de Reszke. Hackley was active in black Denver’s civic and social life. She founded the Colored Women’s League and served as executive director of its local branch. She and her husband also founded the Imperial Order of Libyans which fought racial discrimination and promoted patriotism among African Americans. .

Horrible Copy!

I wish I could give this book zero stars. I give it one star because the print is completely unreadable and illegible. It's like a bad fax or a photocopy of a bad fax, or maybe a crayon rubbing; it's awful. I don't know where the publishers got this one from, but you'd think they'd have done a better job with this one. I realize this book is very old, but so are many others. Twenty dollars completely wasted, which is a shame, because I really wanted to like this book.
